Job Description

A manufacturer of custom printed packaging is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Manager. The Facilities Maintenance Manager oversees the day-to-day activities involving the maintenance of buildings and equipment. This individual will be responsible for the timely completion of all projects, repairs and maintenance in a cost effective manner.

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
• Supervise the Facilities Maintenance staff.
• Complete requests for maintenance and repairs to buildings including carpentry, electrical, painting, plumbing, HVAC, ventilation, roofing and security.
• Perform industrial equipment repair and maintenance.
• Maintain preventative maintenance program for facilities and production equipment.
• Manage Hazardous Materials program – regularly update SDS records; responsible for proper storage and disposal of hazardous waste.
• Interact with vendors and contractors to ensure timely completion of outsourced repairs and/or maintenance.
• Support 24 x 7 production operations.
• Direct and assist with facilities and equipment projects.

Experience & Skills Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years of facilities and equipment repair and maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Equipment electronics experience preferred.
• Electrician’s license a plus.
• Prior Supervisory or Management experience.
• Must be “hands-on” in performing facilities and equipment maintenance duties.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Safety compliance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to manage changing priorities and frequent interruptions while meeting the needs of production.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and interact effectively and with a positive attitude.
• Possession of a valid Massachusetts State Driver’s License, Class D or above.
• Minimum High School/Trade School diploma. Bachelor degree preferred.
